Headache

A headache is one of the most common symptoms that people will experience. Sometimes headaches are both the symptom and the condition. As is the case with icepick headaches, for example. Often they are the result of a larger condition such as dehydration or illness. Almost everyone has experienced one, and some experience them regularly.

Though it is most associated with an ache in the head, it can include pain anywhere in the head or neck. In fact, the most common type of ache is a tension headache, where muscles in the shoulders, neck, scalp, and jaw are tight.

Similar to but different from headaches are migraines. Migraines are reoccurring severe headaches that can cause nausea and light sensitivity. People experiencing this condition have also reported experiencing an aura or visual disturbance.

Luckily, a headache is not difficult to treat. You can treat it by sleeping, drinking fluids, and dimming the lights. You can also treat it with over-the-counter pain killers. Additionally, you might find it helpful to avoid looking at a screen, as it can exacerbate the pain.
