These include low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and high-density lipoproteins (HDL). LDL carries cholesterol around the body and will clog arteries when there is an excess. This type is good. HDL specifically carries cholesterol to the liver where it gets broken down and expelled from the body. This type is bad. Some foods are higher in cholesterol than others. If you are concerned with your heart health, you should try to cut fatty foods like bacon, butter, and coconut cream out of your diet.
