17. Blackstrap Molasses

Molasses is a thick, brown syrup that stems from raw sugar. Because of this, most people assume it is not healthy, but it can be a source of several key nutrients. A tablespoon of this sweetener contains as much as 100 mg of magnesium, accounting for 25% of the daily value. It also comes with plenty of potassium and nearly 20% of the daily value of calcium.

Molasses can have a high calorie count due to its sugar content, so use it sparingly.
