26. Olympian Comes to CHiPs
Owing to a dispute over salary, Erik Estrada opted to leave the show at the beginning of its fifth season. The show's producers knew they had big shoes to fill for the role. They brought in Olympic star Bruce Jenner, now Caitlyn Jenner, to join its ranks. Jenner played Officer Steve MacLeish for seven episodes until Estrada returned.
