Truck drivers may be required to change tires and perform emergency maintenance on the side of roadways. Motor vehicle collisions are by far the highest cause of fatality in this industry accounting for 80 percent of job-related deaths. There are around 24.7 fatalities out of every 100,000 driver workers.
