The Ford Falcon, produced from 1960 to 1970, was not only a success in itself as a compact car but as a platform that spawned other lines such as the Mercury Comet. In the early 1960s, the Falcon Sprint even provided the mechanical basis for the Ford Mustang. The Falcon was available in two- and four-door sedans, three- and five-door station wagons, and a variety of other configurations.
