As we all know, celebrities are far from perfect, but some have made bigger mistakes than others. Fame does not always excuse a celebrity from the legal consequences of their choices, and many celebrities have experienced run-ins with the law. Some of these misdemeanors and misdeeds have led to noteworthy mugshots.

Khloé Kardashian

"Kim, would you stop taking pictures of yourself? Your sister's going to jail!" admonished matriarch Kris Jenner in a now-infamous scene from an early season of the reality show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Khloé Kardashian's mugshot stems from her March 2007 arrest for driving under the influence. The events played out on TV and now serve as an iconic early memory from the show. Kris Jenner even keeps a framed copy of the mugshot on her desk. What a supportive mother.

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan has racked up a grand total of six mugshots, but her most recognizable has to be from her November 2007 stint in jail for misdemeanor cocaine use and driving under the influence. Her orange spray tan and dark black eyeliner remind us that the early 2000s were a rocky period for fashion and beauty. Lucky for Lohan, she spent a mere 84 minutes in jail due to overcrowding of the Los Angeles prison system.

Justin Bieber

Is it too late now to say sorry? Yes, Justin, yes it is. Although the 24-year-old crooner has since stated publicly that jail is "not cool" and he doesn't intend to ever go back, Bieber managed to look camera-ready in his January 2014 mugshot. Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest without violence.

Reese Witherspoon

Southern sweetheart Reese Witherspoon seems to be the least likely celeb to have a mugshot. But in 2013, Witherspoon was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after her husband was pulled over on suspicion of a DUI. The news went viral after a video leaked of Witherspoon asking the police if they knew who she was. However, the "Legally Blond" star has since apologized and is back in the public's good graces.

Matthew McConaughey

What is even more entertaining than Matthew McConaughey's smirking 1999 mugshot is the story that goes along with it. The "Dallas Buyers Club" actor was arrested in his Austin home for marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia after a neighbor made a noise complaint. Upon arriving at his home, police officers found a nude McConaughey playing the bongos. Since the incident, McConaughey has joked, "What's wrong with beating on your drums in your birthday suit?"

Yasmine Bleeth

Yasmine Bleeth's mugshot is a far cry from the glamor of her Baywatch days. After struggling with drug addiction for several years, Bleeth was arrested in September 2001 for cocaine possession and driving while impaired. But the story has a happy ending as Bleeth entered the star-studded Promises Rehabilitation Clinic and has since remained sober.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton's mugshots are a double feature, giving us two for the price of one. In both photos, the socialite made sure to gloss her lips and tilt her head to offer the camera her good side. Hilton was arrested in September 2006 for driving under the influence and again in 2007 for driving with a suspended license. Although her original sentence was 45 days in jail, Hilton's time was reduced for good behavior.

Aaron Carter

Aaron Carter's mugshot made headlines in July 2017 due to his gaunt features. The former singer and brother of Backstreet Boy, Nick Carter, was arrested in Georgia for driving under the influence and marijuana charges. After the public expressed concern over Carter's shocking appearance, Carter entered himself into a rehabilitation program in Malibu.

James Brown

Singer James Brown appears barely recognizable in his 2004 mugshot. The "Godfather of Soul" had many run-ins with the law, dating back to his conviction for theft when he was 16-years-old. In 2004, he was arrested and charged with domestic violence after allegedly pushing his wife to the floor. After the incident, the couple had their marriage annulled.

Heather Locklear

It was on the heels of many years of drug and alcohol addiction when Heather Locklear was arrested in February 2018 for domestic abuse. Locklear's brother phoned the police after witnessing an altercation between the actress and her boyfriend. When police arrived, Locklear allegedly resisted arrest and threatened to shoot the officers if they ever entered her home. After the tumultuous event, Locklear was arrested again for battery and has since entered a rehabilitation facility.

Andy Dick

Comedian and actor Andy Dick is known for his controversial behavior and causing a scene. Dick has a history of groping women in public as well as exposing himself to unsuspecting viewers. In 2008, Dick was arrested on drug possession and sexual battery, and his jarring mugshot that was viewed around the world. The comedian blames his behavior on years of drug and alcohol abuse. Because of this, Dick has entered rehab over 20 times in an attempt to clean up his image.

Mischa Barton

Mischa Barton was a media darling in the early 2000s because of her starring role in "The O.C." Thus, it was a shock to the public when Barton was arrested in 2007 for driving under the influence. Since her arrest, Barton has struggled to regain her former popularity. She sued her mother in 2015 for breach of contract and was hospitalized in 2017 after experiencing hallucinations. With so much drama surrounding Barton, she hopes to regain some stability in her life and return as a working actress.

Tiger Woods

2009 was a rocky year for golfer Tiger Woods after the National Enquirer exposed his extramarital affair. In the days that followed the article, over a dozen women reported having affairs with Woods. Woods admitted himself into a therapy program however in May 2017 he was arrested for driving under the influence. His appearance in his mugshot concerned fans.

Somebody get this man a comb! Actor Rip Torn takes a top spot for one of the worst celebrity mugshots following his 2006 arrest for driving under the influence. His legal troubles continued as he was arrested in 2010 for breaking into a bank while allegedly thinking it was his home.

Childhood star Amanda Bynes' mugshot is iconic for her bubblegum pink hair and the wild events surrounding the photo. Her public meltdown began in 2012 when she was arrested for driving under the influence. Since then, Bynes gained attention for her twitter rants, endless selfies, and setting a small fire in her driveway.

Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson's two mugshots have become some of the most-shared mugshots on the internet following his arrest in 2006 for driving under the influence. The arrest was particularly newsworthy due to Gibson's outbursts to the arresting officers and anti-Semitic statements. The leak of the arrest report prompted Gibson to apologize to the public for his behavior and statements. However the event led to him being blacklisted in Hollywood for almost ten years.

Nick Nolte

The award for the wildest celebrity mugshot of all time goes to actor Nick Nolte. In 2002, Nolte was arrested for driving under the influence. Later tests confirmed the actor had GHB in his system at the time of the incident. This led to Nolte entering himself into rehab.
