It is hard to imagine that the standard hair dryer has any additional use beyond drying hair, but apparently, it can play a role in the war against bed bugs. These unpleasant little creatures cannot stand exposure to high temperatures. The favored treatment requires running the hair dryer over the infested bedding area for about half an hour. It should be adjusted to its highest setting. Hopefully, these prolonged blasts of hot air will kill bugs and their eggs, so all you'll have to do is to vacuum up their remains.
