For those who have had a taste of liver, they would rarely recommend it as the liver does have a peculiar taste. In some Asian cultures, the liver is typically considered a delicacy. It's often stir-fried in combination with noodles and vegetables. In more other societies, the liver is usually discarded because of their preference for muscle meat. Unknowingly, they are missing the benefits of one superfood that's always underestimated. Superfoods these days are usually referred only to green leafy vegetables, fruits, and more. Most of these are plant-based. But animal food sources are also as rich in nutrients, if not more abundant. Organ meats, for instance, are fully packed with proteins, vitamins, minerals. Perhaps the most nutritious of the organ meats are liver, whether it be pork, chicken, beef or duck. Consider the benefits of consuming liver:

1. Rich in vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is perhaps the best reason why we eat liver. This vitamin helps in the formation of red blood cells. It can also improve cellular functions. A deficiency of the vitamin can lead to many disorders. The nervous system especially needs this vitamin to support metabolic processes in the body and for brain health too.
