Anemia is a condition that occurs when your body doesn’t contain enough red blood cells (also known as hemoglobin). These cells have the function of distributing oxygen to the various parts of your body. If you lack healthy blood cells, that means that your body doesn’t receive enough oxygen, and will not function adequately.
