8. Loss Of Smell

If you have a loss of smell, you may have nasal polyps. Loss of smell can result from a physical blockage of the nose. Polyps, as we know, block the nasal passages and cavities. The inflammation that sometimes accompanies polyps can also affect one's sense of smell. The polyps physically obstruct access to the smell nerves present in our nose.
