4. Insurance doesn’t cover hair restoration surgery

Health insurance in the US does not cover elective procedures or cosmetic surgeries, including hair transplants. If you decide to have the procedure done in America, you’ll have to pay full price — and this is unaffordable for many people. However, if you have it done overseas, even when you include the cost of transportation, accommodation, and travel health insurance, you’ll still come out way ahead financially.
