Carl Franklin played the role of army officer Captain Crane, before going on to become an Emmy-nominated director. Franklin wed Honey Rufner at the age of 24, and they were together for eight years. However, they divorced, without any children. Since then, Franklin has kept his personal life firmly under wraps.
