22. "Emergency" Prop
In an episode of the show, producers made use of a vehicle that was regularly featured on the hit TV show Emergency! which was slightly before CHiPs's time. Emergency! was no longer using this vehicle, but fans of both shows might have caught the similarities. The episode depicts Ponch and Jon having difficulties with a paramedic.
