5. Installing a bathroom or kitchen sink

The good news is that many of today’s sinks are designed for easy DIY home installation. You’ll have to know how to connect the sink’s drain — but if you’re experienced or willing to learn, you can do this at home. Be aware that you’ll have to disconnect and reconnect drainpipes and water lines, so if this makes you uncomfortable, call a plumber.
