10. Don't close the lid!
While cats undeniably love the security of a simple cardboard box, it still needs to feel in control and to be able to look out on the world from its cozy and secure position. So avoid closing the top of the box on top of your cat! While it might seem amusing to do so, feeling totally enclosed will increase stress and induce panic. Let your feline friend enjoy the pleasures of a simple cardboard box on its own terms.
