Urinary tract infections (UTI) are very common and can be the bane of a woman's existence. Usually, this uncomfortable condition is treated with antibiotics, but if you are looking for something to lessen the burning sensation during urination while you wait for them to work, baking soda could be the answer. Drinking one tablespoon mixed into one cup of water on an empty stomach can change the acidity level in your bladder. It makes it more alkaline and reduces the acidity of the urine, making it burn less when you use the bathroom.
