5. Honey

Rich in antibacterial properties, honey is an excellent home remedy for bacterial infection, including laryngitis. Honey also helps to ease pain and discomfort in the affected areas. Because of its sweet taste, you can add honey to a variety of dishes and drinks. You can also mix it with tea to soothe your throat. However, it's best to eat honey directly for a more immediate effect. Take a spoonful after waking up. Repeat up to five times a day.
