The prognosis for testicle cancer is relatively good, with a 95 percent five-year survival rate, but there are some complications. The biggest side effect of having chemotherapy or radiation for testicular cancer is infertility. Surgical treatment does not affect a person's ability to have a child as long as they still have one testicle.
Long-term effects from treatment may develop later in life, including high blood pressure, fatigue, cardiovascular disease, and lung diseases.
