15. Sprains

A [citation href="https://www.health.harvard.edu/a_to_z/shoulder-sprain-a-to-z" title="Harvard Health" desc=Shoulder Sprain A-Z"]shoulder sprain happens when the ligaments in the shoulder are stretched or torn, and it can cause significant shoulder pain. Shoulder sprains are more common in the ligament between the acromion, a small bony process on the shoulder blade, and the collar bone.

Pain from a sprained shoulder can spread from the shoulder down the arm or even to the midline of the chest.
