8. Garlic

Garlic helps to produce glutathione in the body, which is essential for healthy thyroid functioning. It also helps to reduce swelling. To use garlic effectively, chew two to three garlic cloves every morning, or, if you don't like the taste of garlic, take a garlic supplement pill once a day.
