  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

For Buttermilk Biscuit Topping:

  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour (sifted and leveled)
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) buttermilk, cold

For Egg Wash:

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) milk or buttermilk
