2. Cutting Carbohydrates

Reducing consumption of carbs is the prime focus of a keto diet. Aim to get your carb intake down to no more than half an ounce per day. Cut out bread, cakes, and other foods made from grains. Forgo using sugar or products containing sugar, and cut out apples, oranges, and other high-sugar fruits. Swap carb-heavy vegetables such as potatoes for lower carb options.
