2. Irritability

Anger happens, it is a universal emotion. However, if you have major depressive disorder, you tend to get angry quickly. Although with that heightened sensation, you may also experience irritation and fearfulness. In fact, you might feel grouchy even by the slightest things. Irritability reaches its peak and seems like emotional sandpaper under the skin. When you are set off, everything, even the kindest words from the loved ones, makes it worse. Often known as the blues, being bummed out for no reason are definite signs of depression.
