2. The Function of the Humerus

The humerus is a point of attachment for many muscles in the arm. Both the pectoralis major and deltoid muscles attach to the humerus. Many of the muscles that attach to the humerus take part in actions like pulling, pushing, pressing, and lifting. The humerus also plays a role in activities that require articulation.
