18. Ford Taurus SHO

A popular family and corporate fleet car, the Ford Taurus has been in production since 1986. The SHO, for Super High Output, was produced from 1988 to 99 and onward from 2010. Styling is more sporty than the standard Taurus, but not aggressively so. Drivers get the enjoyment of SHO performance without drawing attention to themselves. The current version, sixth generation, has a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 with a six-speed automatic transmission and AWD. The first generation had a 3.0-liter SHO V-6 and five-speed manual transmission and FWD.
